An alternate option for creating an Ancient Lake Loop. This is a steeper rocky trail. It is easily rideable downhill, but the loose rocks and steep grade make riding back up difficult, but its only a few minutes hike a bike. Watch for hikers on the downhill.
Access Info
Parking is usually available in a field above the restaurant or near the tasting room at Cave B. This access point shaves about 20 minutes off of the drive time to the other trailhead, but adds ride mileage. If you do decide to park on Cave B property, consider giving them a little business at the tasting room if possible. If it is a busy wedding or event day, you may want to consider parking elsewhere. To find the trail, ride down the paved road below the restaurant that leads to some of the cabins and rooms. Find the trail on the left a little ways past the swimming pool.
