The southern half of the trail borders a conservation area owned by The Nature Trust of British Columbia, managed in partnership with the BC Ministry of Forests and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation.

There is no crossing built at Keremeos creek near the southern end. The north end of the trail ends at a gated orchard.

The easiest access is off Newton Rd. Alternatively, it can be reached from Daly Drive.
