This track is an experience. In Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter are all different with this track. Spring is the wettest season, with downpours that easily washout the gravel and dirt (this is because most of the dirt trail sections are in flood plains) yet has the best temperature and is not as humid as summer. Summer is the hottest and most humid, yet brings abundant sunlight for longer times riding the CCT. Fall is very beautiful with leaves falling, however lacks sunlight. Winter is cold and bitter.
The trail itself has all types of surfaces: Gravel, Dirt, Pavement, and Wood. Most common is Gravel, next is Pavement, etc.
