This section of the CDT is comprised of sandy doubletrack. It begins at Rocky Ridge Trailhead and starts climbing through open grassland with nice views. It then undulates through the forest passing several trail junctions before meeting up with a section of singletrack (CDT - Burnt Mountain to Divide Creek). Note that the doubletrack continues on, so it would be easy to miss the singletrack junction.

Access Info

Heading south on I-15 from Butte, take the Feely Exit and turn right onto Divide Creek Road. The trailhead is 2 miles up this road and clearly marked with a signpost and a big map.
