Trail starts at the Nez Perce Trailhead and is part of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). It is open to dirtbikes so there can be some trail damage associated with this, but generally it isn't too bad. Dirtbike riders often do a good job of keeping the trail clear of deadfall. This section of trail ends at a trail junction on a tree-covered ridge where the CDT becomes non-motorized and heads along the Fairy Trail, while the Nez Perce Trail continues down towards the Pipestone Area. Trail is semi-rocky with some technical features which make it interesting and fun.

We took out a dozen or more trees today up the first 2.5 miles. Likely more higher up that we didn't get to, have to come back with a chainsaw....

A couple big trees in the first 3 miles, but that's it. I cleared about a half dozen smaller ones. Dirt's in great shape, nice and damp in there.

July 1, 2020 Covered in deadfall and clouds of mosquitos. Very slow going.
