Cedar Rock trail is a steep, rocky trail with great views at the top of Cedar Rock. It is similar to Big Rock Trail which it intersects at the top of Cedar Rock. Both ends of the trail are about the same difficulty with the end closest to Corn Mill Shoals Road probably a bit steeper and more technical.
This trail is not recommended for beginner mountain bikers due to the steepness and trail surfaces. Lots of loose stones and it gets wet in several places. In very wet weather this trail can get pretty slippery on the slick rock areas of which there are many.

What a wonderful slabby trail, including the climb. Hopefully a few more steep slab lines can find their way onto the trail system. This felt like a little taste of squamish in NC!

This trail if ridden CCW is a blast to climb. It's tech, smooth and doable. Also if it's a little wet out the rock stays grippy! The downhill is fun and the top is super cool.

Where do most of you park if you are trying to get up to Cedar quickly?
