Centennial Trail provides a safe off-street corridor running east-west across Helena. It will eventually connect Fort Harrison to Wal-Mart and beyond. The surface is mostly paved although there are gravel sections on the eastern half. There are several at-grade crossings with warning beacons. The crossing at Benton Avenue is the least developed, requiring some travel in the road.

Centennial Trail provides convenient access to the Vigilante Bike Park and Lewis & Clark Brewing.
