La bajada desde el Cerro Carbon es uno de los recorridos que más se utilizan en otoño por los amantes de bajadas a alta velocidad.
Al sendero para bajar desde el Cerro Carbon se llega luego de ascender por el zig zag sobre la cara oeste del cerro. La bajada es también una subida de motos por lo que hay que ir con cuidado y en otoño tiene excelentes condiciones. Lo ideal para hacer el recorrido es dejar el auto a la entrada del parque nacional, el el complejo challhuaco y desde ahi pedalear en sentido hacia el Cerro Chalhuaco hasta que se comienza a la izquierda el camino de ascenso para subir al Cerro Carbon. Es una excelente bajada muy rapida
