This is an excellent addition to the Captain's Creek Track. It starts off easily along flat areas covered in moss. Sections of this track were underwater when I did it for about 100 metres. The track is very rough with many branches and small trees across it. Lots of wildlife including Wonga pigeons, azure kingfishers, lyre birds, wallabies, wombats and sambar deer. Very few people walk this track. There were several creek crossings most without bridges. One bridge is crossed via slippery moss-covered logs but all are shallow. The trail into and out of these creeks are steep. One trail out was so steep and slippery I had trouble walking up it. Watch out for a tree across the trail with a diameter of over a metre that just has a small cutout forcing you to chicane through it. At the end of the trail, you can go left or right. Left takes you down to a toilet block and links to the Captain's Creek Trail on your right, or you can go right and 50 metres up turn left down to the same trail.
Easy access and parking at the double creek bridge. The ride to here from Mallacoota is easy and mostly downhill.
