Cheap Thrills is an excellent trail that descends almost 200 vertical metres from the Flank Trail to the start of 99er. The trails is well-built and offers numerous steep rock faces and curving bridges to keep you entertained. Although there are certainly some double-black sections they are not mandatory, meaning capable technical riders willing to walk around a few stunts will still have a great ride.

Access Info

The most direct way to access this trail is to ride up Stonebridge Place and take the Stonebridge-Flank Connector. Climb this trail very steeply and join the Flank Trail at about 980m elevation. The start of Cheap Thrills is not well marked, but look for a prominent clearing where the Flank Trail turns north (right).

Me and my buddy rode this trail last weekend.
We are the capable technical riders mentioned in the description. ????
We walked about 4 features and rode the rest.
Not the easiest features to walk/extreme hike abike down but totally worth it.
      It is a beautiful trail

Thank you for all the recent work to the bridges! I rode it on May 31 and appreciated all of the updates, and happy that it kept the previous feel to it.

Too many uphills and skinnys for this to be 5 stars, but the down sections are awesome.

Definitely one of my favs on the westside - great flow, hardly any climbing and leaning towards the easier side of double black

This one is my favorite of the main trails coming off the Flank south of Darwin’s. It’s got lots of flow and some steep rock rolls. I wouldn’t say it’s any more difficult than the others though
