Chester Park is essentially a small 'bowl' with Chester Creek running down its center. This city park has a small ski hill on the west side of the bowl. This section of the Duluth Traverse is in relatively close proximity to University of MN, Duluth and passes right by the main entrance to the College of St. Scholastica.
This is purpose-built singletrack, with lots of fun flow for mountain bikers. Please use caution, however, as this is a multi-use trail in a heavily used park and it intersects several other hiking-only trails.
The best parking spot for mountain bikers is a small lot at the intersection of College St and Kenwood Ave. The east end terminates at the dead-end of a residential street (Chester Park Dr). The west end terminates at Kenwood Ave.
