Land Manager
This trail is a strong intermediate trail with incredible rock work. There are expert level jumps which can be ridden around. The park asks that the directional signs be followed. From the trailhead, go left (clockwise) on even days of the month and go right (counter-clockwise) on odd days of the month.
Either direction, the trail goes down from the Mount Nebo Bench Trail on fast flowy singletrack bench cuts with big berms and armored wash crossings. Watch for the Chickalah Creek crossings, they make great rest/photo stops. Also, the ride across the north side of the loop features beautiful views of the Arkansas River Valley. No matter what, your ride will finish with a climb, so be ready with water, snacks, and time.
Access Info
The recommended way to access the trail is from the parking overlook on Highway 155. At the Bench Trail, go to the left near the overlook and ride for approximately three-quarters of a mile to the Chickalah Loop Trailhead.
