This trail takes you through a lush canyon from Mancos State Park to Transfer Campground. You can also access the south end of this trail via the Chicken Creek Connector coming off of the Hamlin Trail in the XC ski area as well as the Rim Trail. The trail takes you across Chicken Creek multiple times so it is best when traveled once the Spring runoff has slowed. The trail can be incredibly challenging technically at times as you encounter numerous large rooty areas and rock gardens. For mountain bikers, the trail is much more enjoyable when travelled in North to South direction. A section of this trail passes through private property, so please stay on the trail. This trail is part of the Mancos Spur.
