This is adventure riding. Trails are not maintained for mountain biking and conditions are variable. You will need to push your bike occasionally up steep, loose rock sections or carry it over down trees etc. No deep sand at least, so that's nice. There's fun riding mixed in too, and great views.
Just north of the (epic) Larb Hollow overlook on highway 12 between Torrey and Boulder, park in pull-off on east side of road (forest road 576). The chokecherry ATV 2-track starts climbing across the road to the west. For the ATV trail, the trail sign says 5174, the Dixie National Forest map and GoogleMaps say chokecherry 35173 and, finally, NatGeo/Trails Illustrated map labels it 173. Weird. You'll find it. I have not encountered ATVs on the trail but they definitely use it. Please be respectful of multiple uses (it is an ATV trail, after all).
Steep, difficult climb up to intersection with Wildcat trail and Terrace trail. Wildcat trail is a non-motorized trail, typically for hiking and horses (and cows). Please give hikers and horseback riders the right-of-way. Makes for a fun, difficult downhill with some good rock gardens, although it also gets hit pretty hard by cows which can mess up conditions. The start of the trail, in the alpine meadow, may be indistinct but it becomes clearer as you enter the forest. You will have to cross a cattle fence in the middle of the descent. As of June 2018, opening the gate resulted in many posts falling over, which makes for a challenging reassembly with one person. USFS is aware so hopefully it's fixed but keep it in mind (may be easier to find a spot to hop over and avoid opening the gate). Wildcat trail ends on a dirt road very near the Wildcat Ranger Station. It is a cool old station built by the CCC. Ride highway 12 back up the hill to your car. It's a pleasant, short-ish road ride with spectacular views.
Alternative descent is to ride the ATV trail back down, which is fun too and quick. You can also stay on the ATV trail past Wildcat trail and continue west and up towards Chokecherry Point and the Rim trail but the upper section may be unrideable up or down.
