The first climb is a short, sharp effort but once you're there the rest of the trails making up 'chinese menu' (Spring Roll and Sweet n Sour) are much mellower.
Rolling through dense canopy of spruce trees is very dark in low light. In the height of summer it's a welcome, cooling relief from the heat.
There are a couple of short cuts into Chop Suey from Reservoir Rd. that avoid the initial hill. If you take them just make sure you turn right onto Chop Suey to go with the flow of the direction of the trail (it's a one-way designated trail)

Starts a little up Reservoir Rd from the intersection with Ring Rd.
It's also close to the finish of Moonshine trail and Roller Coaster.
