Coal Creek 317B is basically just a continuation of Coal Creek 317. The real Coal Creek 317 branches off to the left at the fork, but there's really not much reason to follow it as it soon plays out after crossing the creek. It's better just to stay to your right at the fork and continue on 317B, which also eventually plays out, but at least you got in 10 more miles (round trip) of riding on a great gravel road.
