This trail is popular in both directions.
This is a popular off-road connector for people crossing the Golden Gate Bridge to the rest of Marin. When going downhill, be wary that the gravel here is much looser than other parts of Marin there are two points where the trail narrows where the gravel can get especially slippery. If it has rained, there may be erosion layers rutting the bottom that can get deep enough that they must be hopped. About a quarter mile from the bottom, there is a gate and it flattens out a bit.
