The climb to the top of Colorado Mountain is nearly all on closed forest roads. While the grade, bench width, and tree spacing are all representative of a road, vegetation has reclaimed most of the route to singletrack width. There are no technical challenges on this trail. The climb starts steeply, but once it reaches the open sage meadows on the shoulder of Colorado Mountain, the grade relaxes slightly.

Access Info

To reach this trailhead, turn south off Highway 12 onto Ten Mile Creek Road. Shortly before Rimini, turn left following the signs towards Park Lake. The trail starts at the broad level area near the headwaters of Beaver Creek. After the road levels off, watch for a pullout on the left side, right before a right turn.
