Anaheim Hills has many dirt horse trails that weave throughout the city and double as decent trails for quick climbs. Climb far enough and these horse trails can eventually be linked to the Santiago Oaks Regional Park trails.

The trails begins as Mohler Drive climbs south from Santa Ana Canyon Road. The path begins on the left (east) side of the road as a dirt sidewalk for a short distance then crosses Mohler Drive as Mohler bends eastward. Cross Mohler and the trail will be an obvious wide dirt trail on the right side of the road with a wood horse corral fence along it. Follow the trail as it bends to the right (south) and the climb begins along Country Hills Road.

The trail crosses six driveways with a few log steps to climb (these can be avoided by riding onto the road). Then the trail dips to the right as the houses give way to some green space along the hillside. After several hundred yards, a concrete drainage ditch is seen. Turn right just before the concrete ditch to access the horse trail again. There are a few short, steep climbs as this portion of the trail is more woodsy and less neighborhood as the road is left behind. Follow the horse trail for several more bends. Occasionally, it pops out into a neighborhood but continue on the dirt paths.

Eventually, the trail with cross Falling Star Drive with a little island round-about. The trail picks up on the other side and ducks into the trees again. The trail hits a T-junction at the Four Corners Trail. Turn left to venture into Deer Canyon Preserve or right to dump out onto Fairmont Blvd.
