The Cowhorn Valley Road runs the length of Cowhorn Valley, which runs north-south along a large volcanic ridge named The Cowhorn. The road leaves the Waucoba Spring Road and heads north, following the bottom of the valley along a series of dry lakebeds, eventually ending at a dry waterfall and a nice campsite. The grade is flat to easy, with areas of soft dust and silt. Toward the north end of the valley there are some large Joshua trees.
