This description is going CCW (heading North). Lots of switchbacks, some pretty tight. One section on the face takes you through 3-4 tough rock gardens, but the climb is mostly just an easy, grinding climb. The back side (North) of the loop is the shady side which holds mud and snow longer, and provides some fun fast and flowing downhill through the trees.

You will know you are at the top when you can see both sides of the 2 valleys to the East and West. Once you drop down the backside heading counter clockwise expect miles of fast, smooth flowing trail through the aspens, with a mix of Stinging Nettle and Mint leaves so thick you can smell them.
