Look for CR DD 15 off the Davis Mesa Road ( DD 16) and a sign to Skein Mesa. Go left and follow the main track as it crosses two drainages into the Wild Steer Canyon WSA. As you get close to Skein Mesa, look for a two track coming in from the right. Park here to begin the Skein Mesa Loop ride or the road continues on around the west side of the mesa.
