This trail is in a lollipop style with the stem being an out and back to a very small parking lot. Lots of climbing on this short loop. After the stem you can go left or right. Left being the harder ascent. This climb includes a tight drainage crossing that needed to be crib walled to create. The climbing does not end after this crossing and there are a few more tough pushes to get to a nice bench you can catch your breath on.

If you go to the right at the stem this is a series of switchbacks to the top. More crib walls were needed to create some of these switchbacks. Both directions will connect you to The Falls trail which takes you north to a parking lot off of Shepherd Creek road.

This trail is one of the fastest drying trails in the area. Due to a southside facing slope, lots of rock in the trail tread and impeccable design and emphasis on water management.
