A steady climb through open forest up through the Crescent Lake cirque to the Wilderness boundary with views of Crescent mountain and the Mission Mountain range.

The trail is well maintained and has a smooth tread up to Crescent Lake. The section beyond the lake up to the Wilderness boundary is steeper and more challenging with areas of loose rock.
