Also called Canyon Creek Trail, it travels to Crescent Lake passing by Lake Abundance. Both lakes are very picturesque and camping would be possible at either one. Trail surface varies between soil, sand and rocks. It is steep in places but overall a pleasant gradient for hiking. Around the lower half of this trail, there is a second option for getting to Crescent Lake via Canyon Lake Trail. Most people will be going in and out and will have the opportunity to do both. However if you were to use just one trail this one might be chosen because A) It is easier going than Canyon Lake Trail (less up and down and rocky), and B) It provides the option of going up Gold Creek Trail just a little ways to the ridge, where you will get amazing views looking out over Gold Creek drainage (West) and Moose Creek drainage (Northwest). This trail travels in recommended wilderness and all vehicles including bicycles are prohibited.
