This non-motorized trail is the original Twelvemile Forest Service trail. It is raw, wild and five miles of pure fun for the expert mtn biker.

There will be short hike a bike for some bikers. There are numerous stream crossings, 12 crossings from top to bottom. Some crossings with logs...6 crossings between Second Crevice Bailout Trail and the Access Rd. Expect to get your feet wet. Early in the season, the water is high and cold.

Lower down you will pass a cabin site from the Uncle Sam Mine, which was operational before 1927. June-October is best. This trail is in the Twelvemile Grazing Allotment - expect cows from mid-July through September. Please close the gate during grazing season.

      		 Clear of deadfall from Thoroughfare access down. Too much snow above, be kind to the trails and don’t leave ruts, patience is a virtue.
