From intersection #20*, the Crist Ridge Trail descends from the Chappells Field Trail to the paved road directly across from the connector to the Rock-n-Ridge trails and the Mowery Hollow Picnic Area.

This trail is considered by most riders to be the best downhill trail at Blue Knob and one of the best in the region. The descent starts as a fairly gradual 5% grade for the first 1.5 miles with a few rocks and some very brief uphills. After that, the trail transitions to a smoother and faster 11% drop for the last 1/2 mile featuring the high-banked "Daytona 500" turn. Crist Ridge is also the easiest (though not the shortest) way to climb the mountain. A "must ride" trail for any trip to Blue Knob.
