Cross Tie Details
Primary use biking with hiking ok until entering north access to mountain biking only area. Section from Hilltop Day Use area was created in 2015 to take traffic off of trails going thru Disc golf area and Hares Canyon (fire road). This is a well built trail which dives immediately off into timber and crosses over various shared-use trails. Relatively easy grade but narrow and some switch back turns make this difficult for beginners - but this is intended to be main access to Intermediate mountain biking area trails. Lots of fun flowing this back out from mountain biking area to Hilltop - it's mainly downhill that direction!
This trail continues after entering mountain biking specific area. An easily ridable "A-frame" helps filter out hiking traffic near the trail kiosk. It traverses across North Caddy Whomper once and then ends before a drainage area. Continuing on North Caddy Whomper leads to Shoofly (the contination of XC trail) or veering left on North Caddy Whomper leads to Freeride area (or a shortcut to continue into "Link n Pin" section of Shoofly XC trail.
