One of the more scenic sections of the CT that requires minimal effort to experience a little taste of the backcountry. A nice 500’ climb passes the Blair Witch trail and tops out at an old fenceline. Beautiful sweeping trail and and awesome view of the 10-Mile range follows. Kitty-litter tread keeps things interesting as the descent leads to a final vista and the infamous switchbacks. They are rideable in both directions, for the skilled rider. Watch for hikers at the base, cross a bridge/paved road and pick up the final piece out to Highway 9. Crossing Highway 9 and turing right (north) on the bike path will continue to follow the CT to the Gold Hill trailhead parking lot.
