Partendo dalla diga la traccia, carrozzabile, è sterrata per diventare poi cementata nel momento in cui inizia ad affrontare la ripida salita.
Raggiunto il bivio con le indicazioni per l'Alpe Val Poschiavina, teniamo la sinistra e, raggiunte alcune baite, la traccia si restringe e scende perdendo rapidamente quota tra qualche facile tornate prima di raggiungere una "galleria" scavata all'interno di una pietra pendula. La traccia prosegue quasi in piano fino all'Alpe Gembré.

Traccia molto comoda e larga da fare anche in bici, prestando naturalmente la massima attenzione agli escursionisti a piedi.
