    City of Helena

Diretissima is the least popular way to reach the McKelvey/West End/Ridge saddle, but it offers a nice climb from the west side of town, and is easier than the Prairie Trail. It has far more shade than Dump Gulch, so it is a nice option in the summer for a Show-Me-The-Horse Trail loop. Be especially aware of hikers on the north side of Mt. Helena.
