The trail is a fireroad which is reasonably flat with a few gullies and it has an old railway tunnel to travel through. The ground is rocky and can be loose in areas.
There is the option to use the trails off to the side of the fire road to get some climbing and fast descents into your ride.
You can start the ride at either end (Mooloolah or Landsborough). There are carparks available at both sides and the two towns have fuel, cafes and shops.
