It starts in open eastern Washington forest and after a couple miles gains the grassy slopes above 6000' with sweeping views south down the Entiat River valley and west into the Entiat Mountains around Garland and Fifth of July Mtn's.
The Duncan Hill Trail begins at the end of Forest Service Road 5608 just past North Fork Campground and ends at Emerald Park Trail #1230 within Glacier Peak Wilderness.
The trail is open to motorized trail bike only on segments outside Wilderness. This steep, rocky ridge trail is popular during hunting season. Segments of the trail can be negotiated by motor bikes from Anthem Creek and the first 4 miles from the Duncan Ridge Road.
