The new Eagle Eye trail is 2.3 miles long, and is the highest trail in the new Raptor Route system. The trail travels through Pinion Juniper forest and is a mix of dirt and sandstone trail. The route follows a rim line above part of the Porcupine Rim Trail climb and is fast and flowy with only a few technical features. While this trail is not very technical, its speed, excellent turns, hidden jumps, and jibs make it a great trail for all riders intermediate and up. The trail is dual directional however it is recommended downhill, LPS to Lazy Man’s road.
What is the Raptor Route?
The Raptor Route is a network of trails that starts at LPS and parallels the Sand Flats road toward Moab. The primary objective for the route is to create an alternative to the very technical and remote Porcupine Rim Trail when riding the Whole Enchilada route. The Raptor Route offers flowy, fast intermediate trails with some advanced moments and offers multiple exit options onto Sand Flats road along the way.
