The Eagle Scout Trail is one of the easier climbs in the South Hills, and one of the better options for beginners. There are many switchbacks on the lower part of the trail, but they are relatively open and easy to ride. This is a good trail for beginner riders to practice riding switchbacks, and for advanced riders to practice railing them.
