Although short, East Vernon Trail boasts wonderful views of the Vernon valley including all three lakes in the region: Kalamalka, Okanagan, and Swan Lake. The upper portion of the trail is a manageable climb that has multiple viewpoints along the way. It is not as wide as the lower portion so keep an eye out for hikers as this is a multi-use trail. There is one section of note that detours around a staircase used by foot traffic, but the route is obvious. The trail end runs into private property so please do not pass the fenced gate.

Access Info

Follow Highway 6 east out of Vernon, turn onto Buchanan Road at the last set of lights by the Regional District of the North Okanagan. Turn left off of his road onto Uplands Drive and follow it up until you reach Cypress Drive. Turn left and the road ends at the trailhead. The upper portion branches off of the lower.
