Starts out of the Porcupine trailhead. Head south fro the parking lot. There are two small stream crossings followed by a gate. Please close this gate behind you. After the gate, go straight. There should be one more small stream crossing before a fork in the trail. You can go either way at the fork, going left is easier. A short ways after the fork, you will cross onto private land but the trail is on a USFS easement. Depending on whether you went left or right at the fork, you will cross Porcupine Creek shortly before or after you cross onto private land. After this, there will be a large meadow. There is some route-finding involved but you want to make you way to a run-down log shed with old road bed next to it at the northeast corner of the field. Just south of the shed there is single track that cuts steeply up off of the private land to another old road bed. Follow this road up for a short distance; it will start dropping and you will be greeted by a sign which says 4.5 miles to Campfire Lake and 5.5 miles to Moose Lake. Continue following the trail up the creek; it is a bit grassed over and crosses Elk Creek twice but gets easier to follow as you go further up the drainage. The further you go, the better the views are, until you reach the top, where this trail meets Campfire Lake trail (123, closed to bikes unfortunately) and Trespass Creek Trail (268, open to bikes and awesome)
