Escalator is primarily designed to be a climb route to access the Sugarcamp Trailhead. Definitely check for trail updates before using this route, as maintenance is a daunting task and it tends to get a bit overgrown with thorns at times. The climb isn't nearly as difficult as it appears, but be prepared to spend about 30 minutes of intermediate climbing with no shade.
