The trail itself is very easy to ride (barring one mandatory walk-a-bike section), but it is cut out of a very steep hillside and the exposure may be too much for new riders.

World class views, undoubtedly the most scenic trail I've been on. The riding is secondary, and while fun, it is fairly flat. Pair this trail with TRT (from Tahoe Meadows) and/or Chimney Beach trail for an epic day. People with exposure issues may be nervous in a few sections. Visit the great Tunnel Creek Café at the base of Tunnel Creek Road.

5 star view, 3 star trail. Even with the shuttle it required a grueling 4 mile climb on kitty litter-like sand, and then to my dismay the rest of the trail was similarly sandy. You've got to do the trail because of the amazing views of Marlette lake and Lake Tahoe, but I won't do it again unless I'm bringing someone who's never done it before.

Very easy/flat trail with stunning views. Great connector to chimney beach from incline side.
