Trail typeDirt/Gravel Road
The is an access road that will take you to (or from) Monarch Crest. This would be the obvious route choice if, for example, you wanted to ride the S. Fooses singletrack then return to the Crest to ride something else (e.g. Green's, Agate, or the Crest proper). The lower portion is relatively easy double track that any vehicle with moderate clearance can drive. The last couple miles become extremely steep, loose, and may only be accessible via bike, foot, or moto.
NOTE: About 2 miles from the top there is an obvious split in the road. The old road takes a left turn. It does follow the current Trailforks GPS line but it's completely overgrown and has about 50 trees down. The rerouted road (your best choice) heads right up a very steep, very loose pitch before becoming rideable again. Take the steep loose road.
