For Pete's Sake Details
The For Pete's Sake trail is an 8 mile loop of single track with multiple options. Follow the green "8" Signs for the full 8 miles, follow the Yellow "3" signs for a 3 mile introduction. All of Pete's with the exception of Project X is good intermediate single track with roots, rocks, and corners to keep you interested. The Alternates are as follows ordered in the clockwise direction:
Flo-Rid-A - The shortest alternate, this is a fast and flowy section through the pines. Use Flo-Rid-A to access the Project X trail to the left.
Armadillo Alley - A little rockier than Flo-Rid-A, Armadillo Alley includes some small rock gardens and fast turns.
Old-Skool - This alternate includes some more traditional rooty rocky narrow single track. A sizable pine Log Ride exists here for the adventurous.
Groundhog Day - The longest of the alternates at 2 miles, groundhog day has so many turns you might lose your bearings. But don't worry, an early '90s Bill Murray news reporter does not await you. Stay the course and reconnect with the 3 mile soon.
Mama's Milkshake - Recently reworked, the last of the alternates has a fast swooping downhill to a rock drop at the bottom. Stay left for the drop or right to miss it. Then a short but steep grunt back up hill takes you to a really sweet gully ride before you climb back up to rejoin the main loop.
