La montée (alternance piste et route) se fait depuis la plaine de Conflans (339 m) par Conflans, Farette, Les Garzons, le Bettex, le Châtaignier, le fort du Mont

Du Fort du Mont 1125 m, contourner le fort par le Nord pour trouver le chemin en sous bois, descendant au hameau du Mont.
Prendre la piste qui traverse le village puis le chemin qui lui fait suite. Chemin étroit avec une succession de montées et descentes (montées plus ou moins cyclables selon le niveau). Passer le chalet de Champ Blaire et continuer toujours à flanc dans la forêt. On rencontre alors une bifurcation de sentier à l’altitude 1100 m.
La descente (700 m de D-) commence alors véritablement.
Pente moyenne forte, revêtements de pierres roulantes couvertes d'un épais tapis de feuilles (fin d’automne oblige).
Succession de lacets en majorité assez larges.
Un court passage présentant une exposition forte au dessus de barres rocheuses vers le bas de la descente (E3) après la rencontre d’un sentier venant de Salorin.

De Tours-en-Savoie (401 m), on retourne au point de départ par la D990.

Sortie en face Sud, accessible une grande partie de l’année sauf quand la neige est descendue très bas.

En été ce sentier pourrait être une bonne façon de terminer une descente en face Sud depuis La Roche Pourrie en empruntant la forêt des Déberts via le Chalet forestier de la Combe des Filles et Les Déberts (1650 m de D-).
