If you want to enjoy this mountain at its most beautiful time, it would be June. You will discover a lot of colors from the pinkish Rhododendron to the green of the Juniper trees and clear blue of the river and lake. As a plus, the trail is very enjoyable. You can carry the bike up to the summit (Gargalau Peak). The descent is not extremely hard or technical. We took the chairlift from Borsa (Maramures County) to the Stiol Lake and from there on it took around 3 hours to the top (cycling, pushing, carrying). Enjoy
