The US Forest Service is considering limiting traffic to mountain bikes only on the Gatos Ravine Trail in the Laguna Mountains. The 2.2 mile trail, located in Cleveland National Forest east of San Diego, would be limited to downhill traffic, to allow mountain bikers to speed down the trail without worrying about colliding with uphill riders.

The trail, which is a spur of Big Laguna Trail, is currently designated as multi-use, allowing travel by hikers, bikers and equestrians. Before making a decision, the forest service is taking comments from non-bike users of the trail on the proposed plan.

Gatos Ravine is the terrain park-ish with logs and other features
