Fun section of trail with amazing views. Gold valley rim trail used to be part of the PCT and this section of the PCT was realigned. Now we have the old PCT, gold valley rim trail, which is now a multi use trail open to Moto’s. There are some good rock features on the lower half of this trail. Hit gold valley rim trail to take you to the top of pauly creek or big boulder.

Rode this for the first time in the D’Ville XC Race. Was fun even after I’d climbed up for an hour at race pace! The descending part of this trail has some nice rocky features.

Smooth and very scenic on the uphill/flat part, then a more rocky but fast and fun descent. The climbing part is almost all under tree cover, very pretty, and should not dissuade anyone from using this trail to make a bigger loop in D-ville.

Fun alternative to the classic for a longer loop or just something different. The previous comments are spot on. Leads to Pauley Creek or Big Boulder, but the OHV connecting trails are more tolerated than enjoyed.
