This is totally worth it. Do it as an out and back from Thunder Mnt Trailhead. Some years there will be trees down, and conditions vary widely from year to year. You will encounter hardpack, loose rocks, sand, loam, dirt, natural berms and poppy rollers. There’s some short, steep, hike a bike sections in the southern 2 miles.

      The only part of this trail that is even remotely fun is the last couple miles near Red Canyon. Otherwise leave your bike and just hike it.
