An awesome rip off the Monarch Crest Trail. Starts out with some deep roots and little stream crossings. The top has the tendency to keep moisture as it is deep in the forest. The big roots create seriously rowdy riding and even a wheel trap if you don't lean back. The terrain slowly changes to a bit more sun exposure which dries out the trail and more rocks, and then more rocks, big and embedded in some spots. The middle flattens out just a bit and even gets a bit peddaly for a short section before the speed really picks up for the bottom third. Just when the trail appears to get tame, you drop down a fast rocky section and keep ripping.

This trail can be shuttled but includes a mild and easy climb on the Monarch Crest from the saddle. Not great to spin up the pavement back to the top as the road shoulder goes to zero for the last few miles.

Dry and dusty, but fun! Lots of bowling-ball sized rocks hanging out on the trail to bounce between, maybe kicked up by motos.

This trail is tops! Loads of rocks, roots and mini drops. It's techy but has awesome flow! I normally stay away from double black rated trails, but I found this trail to be 100% rideable.

Has to be one of my all time favorite descents on a mtn bike anywhere, and I have done a lot of rides in my life!

Combine this with the Monarch Crest and you may have the best ride of your life

Great alternative to the traditional Monarch Crest route. You get the famous Monarch alpine single track to get to Green's, and then one of the best descents anywhere. Greens is rocky, rooty, and looooong. It's a mix of pine and aspen forests that follows a creek all the way down. Start of Monarch to the end of Greens is 13.5 miles with about 800 feet of climbing and 3,500 feet of descent.
