After the flowing sections of track along the top of the ridge, the trail dips and then starts a series of climbs up to the Vermont Firetrail, dropping back down the slope before turning back and up again. The climbs are short, steep and hard, the drops short and furious and the track is affected by washouts in a couple of spots.
