From the 19th Ave TH, he lower portion of the climb (first 1/2 mile) is smooth freshly improved singletrack that is great XC for climbing. The upper portion of the climb to the ridgeline is very steep and rocky and much HAB. The section along the top of the ridgeline is narrow and rocky.

This trail was renamed from T-Bone Loop to Hau'pal in late 2019 following construction. Hau'pal means "red-tailed hawk" in the indigenous O'otham language. The trail is part of the 2017 Trails Master Plan. Note Hau'pal incorporates part of the old "Ma-Ha-Tuak Trail," not to be confused with the new perimeter trail.
