Single Track dirt trails through Heart Lake Conservation Area. Overlaps some of the access roads and multi-use trails to connect to each side of the park. There are a different areas that are tricky to connect with at times, but there's a Southern loop, connected to the northern loop of trails by the lakeside route, and then there's an Eastern trail that connects back to the main roadway near the main gate. There are some side trails opening up that are worth exploring but if you approach from the wrong direction it can be frustrating. Markings are almost non-existent.

Access Info

Preferred by TRCA to pay at main gate off of Heart Lake Road and support the park maintenance. Access from Esker Lake Trail to the South; from City streets and local parks to the West and Mayfield Road to the North.

My son 14 and myself late 40's rode this trail starting from the South entrance and enjoyed it. The trails are not well marked, split off every now & then but for the most part its pretty easy to navigate through. Basically stay right on the paths until you reach the top of the park the trail will naturally bring you around towards the lake. My son found it a bit boring compared to Dagmar for challenging trails but overall it was fun. Surprised that not many cyclist where in the park for such a nice Sunday Ride ??

Forgot to mention, I ride a Norco Storm & my son rides a Specialized Pitch.

The map makes it look easy, but once you get there, it's really easy to get lost because there's the trails are terribly marked so make sure you have your phone fully charged so that you can use google maps to get out of the park.

1. There's no sign that says where a single track begins/ends so you'll often run into other riders coming at you full speed from the opposite direction.

2. Intersections are mostly not marked so you'll have to guess whether you should go left or right.

3. main trail is shared with dog walkers and hikers, don't ride too fast.
